what's with all of the dogs on this site?

You may be wondering what's with all of the dog images on this site.

We at eeep! productions believe strongly in and support dog rescue organizations. We believe that every animal deserves a chance, and, that with some training and some love, any animal can be rescued.

Our office mascot, Whiskey the Wonder Dog was rescued from the New Orleans area a few weeks after Hurricane Katrina. A wonderful local group went down to the area twice to pick up a truckload of animals who were either found wandering or who were surrendered by their owners. We don't know Whiskey's history. We only know she's about 3 years old, and is a Manchester Terrier cross. When we first adopted her, she was quiet and nervous and a tad jumpy. She's blossomed into a well-behaved, happy, playful and puppy-like dog and keeps us company all day here in the office.

A good portion of our yearly charitable donations go toward animal rescue. If you are interested in supporting such a great cause, check out the organizations below.

Larimer Humane Society is our local animal shelter. The adoptable dogs to the left here are available through them.

Save Haven for Animals is a non-profit animal rescue which was started in late 2004 in the Phoenix, AZ area. Over 1,000 are "euthanized" weekly just in the Phoenix area because they are not or can not be adopted. The goal of Safe Haven for Animals is to provide a safe and happy home for those animals and to adopt out as many as possible with no time limit on their stay.

Ahimsa Ranch Animal Rescue in Fort Collins, CO is the group that rescued our Whiskey Dog. Ahimsa Ranch is dedicated to providing rescue and sanctuary to horses, farm, and companion animals in need. We are a no kill facility, and most of our animals are available for adoption to excellent lifetime homes.

A Place to Bark is a no kill foster and adoption rescue dedicated to the welfare of animals. Established in 2001, we mainly work with Animal Control Agencies, rescue animals from high kill shelters and foster them till they are healthy. Fellow artist Bernie Berlin heads up the efforts of this organization and chronicles her activities in her blog.
